Kyra Mancini, BS/RN, GDI Research Associate,

has served as data analyst, coder, and transcriber for Group Dimensions International since 1987. She has worked on projects for The World Bank, National Committee for Quality Assurance, QualityMetric, Save the Bay Rhode Island, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Canada-U.S. Fulbright Program, Rhode Island Supreme Court, Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth and Families, Department of Veteran's Affairs, Department of Energy, National Easter Seals Project ACTION, U.S. Census Bureau, UNIFEM-CIS, IDRC, Brown University ADVANCE, Bristol Community College Future History, and many others. Her specialty is health-care related focus groups and key informant interviews. Kyra also co-trains GDI's focus group training workshop, Conducting Professional Focus Groups, and offers training for those who wish to develop expertise in GDI's unique "structured transcript" technique, which she was instrumental in designing. She received her BS/RN degree at the University of Southern Maine and is currently working on her Master's in Health Policy at University of Southern Maine's Muskie School of Public Service. She lives in Windham, Maine, served as an oncology nurse at Maine Medical Center in Portland, and is Director of Quality Control for Apothecary by Design, Portland..
